CLASSIFICATION AND STATUS:
Exempt – Full Time
REPORTS TO: Program
The Training Director is responsible for the development and implementation
of all advocacy pre-service and in-service training programs.
be required to attend and complete the volunteer pre-service training as well
as complete 12 hours of continuing education per year ( to include but not
limited to: conferences, Café CASA, workshops offered in the community and CASA
and implement a pre-service volunteer advocacy training curriculum that
adheres to all National and Texas CASA standards.
all required screening elements for each prospective volunteer.
all pre-service training classes.
all necessary paperwork for each volunteer’s agency file.
coordination with the Program Director, ensure all pre-service training
requirements are met prior to a volunteer’s case assignment.
a minimum of 12 hours of in-service training annually offering a diversity
of workshops focused on strengthening CASA’s advocacy services.
the Program Director in ensuring all volunteers are in compliance with annual
in-service training requirements.
to stay abreast of new training methodologies in order to offer effective
training curriculum that addresses all styles of learning.
duties as required.
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of
education and experience
two years successful experience in training facilitation preferred.
criminal background required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

conflict resolution skills.
to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs.
written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills and the ability to
effectively interface with a diversity of individuals.
Self-starter with minimal guidance required.
